The article provides events and accounts on the arrival of the Jews in South Africa during the 19th and 20th century. Accordingly, the emergence of the Jewish population into African culture defines their conflict against apartheid and discrimination from the existing system of government. Chronological discoveries of gold and diamonds as well as the role of the Lithuanians in the assimilation of Jewish community in South Africa are also presented.19 page(s
