Theodoretus (or Theodoret), the bishop of Cyrrhus (or Cyrus), is a figure who acted as a chief representative of the school of Antioch in the Christological debates of the fifth century on the relation between the human and divine natures of Christ. Theodoretus’s theological understanding of the two natures (the divine and human) of Christ is particularly seen from the following four treatises that he composed: Expositio Rectae Fidei, Reprehensio XII Anathematismorum Cyrilli, De Incarnatione Domini, and Eranistes .
