Background: There is limited information on the challenges faced by carers of children with disabilities in rural regions. This study explores a range of these issues in relation to impact on family quality of life (FQOL). Method: The study was conducted across rural northern New South Wales, Australia. In addition to demographic information, the questionnaire used contained two validated scales to measure family quality of life (FQLS) and behavioural issues (BFRS-R). The FQLS assesses the family’s perceived satisfaction with their quality of life.
