Föreningsidrotten - En arena öppen för alla? : En kvalitativ intervjustudie om idrottsföreningars uppfattningar och erfarenheter kring inkluderingsbidrag i samband med inkludering av funktionsnedsatta individer

It is stated that sports should be an open arena for every individual in the society, despite this statement inclusion of people with disabilities in organized sport have not been prioritized. The municipality of Umeå offers an inclusion funding for this matter, however there has been a low number of applications from the organizations. The purpose of this study was to enlighten the opinions and experiences on the inclusion funding and inclusion, both from the sport organizations who had applied for the funding and those who had not applied. The result is based on nine semistructured interviews with different sport organizations in Umeå and demonstrates that all organizations report positive attitudes to inclusion and the funding. The organizations who had applied and received the funding informed that it was profitable in order to enable development within the organizations. Furthermore the organizations mentioned that a number of preconditions is necessary in the startup of a work with inclusion such as dedicated leaders, right way of recruitment, attitudes and education
