Pd.\ud \ud Keywords: Pronouns, using, mastery\ud \ud This study describes the mastery and the most common error faced by students in learning second language in the use of pronouns in learning English. It has been known that there are some differences between using pronouns in English and in Indonesian. Formulation of the problem in this research is how the students' mastery in using English pronouns and what is the most students’ common error faced in using English pronouns. The objective of this research is to determine how mastery and what most common error faced by the students is in using English pronouns.\ud Subject of this research were taken from all the eighth grade students of MTs Nurul Ulum Banjarmasin academic year 2013/2014 which consist of 30 students, but only 27 students was attended when the researcher gave the test, because 3 of them were absent. The object of this research is the student's mastery and the most common error faced in using the English pronouns.\ud Data collection techniques used is written tests, and documentation. To process the data in this study is divided into four, namely: checking, scoring, tabulating, and interpreting. Then the data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative and inferred inductively.\ud All the data shows that student's mastery in using the English pronouns at MTs Nurul Ulum Banjarmasin Academic Year 2013/2014 is classified in very low category with the mean score 37.03, and the most common errors faced by students in using English pronouns is about possessive with noun/possessive adjectives with average error 75.9 which is included in high error category
