Saadillah, M.Pd.\ud \ud Keywords : Reading Comprehension\ud \ud The research on The Effort for Developing Reading Comprehension Using Communicative Approach Through Game for Student Class VII SMP Islam Izzul Hassan Mekarsari is one of efforts to develop and enhance teaching and learning process. This is done because plenty of students still have a lack of having Reading Comprehension because in the teaching and learning English process which only spend 2x35 minutes in a week without any necessary special strategies. The process is only done by giving explanations and exercises to students. Also, students are asked to memorize the vocabulary which have been given during the process. The authors consider that the kind of ways is less effective when applied to anticipate the short time of the process.\ud This study aims to determine whether the strategy Reading Comprehension Using Communicative Approach Through Game learning of students Class VII SMP Islam Izzul Hassan Mekarsari. If they were mastery in Reading, it can help them to develop and their activity development also, then how to use Reading Comprehension Using Communicative Approach Trough Game should be applied to develop the student’s Reading Comprehension. \ud The research was conducted on students in grade VII SMP Islam Izzul Hassan Mekarsari in the school year 2014/2015 with the 28 number of students, consisting of 16 males and 12 females. This study was conducted from April, May until June 2015. The design of this study is divided into two cycles, for each cycle is consisting of 2 time meetings, which each meeting held and action reflection. Results of reflection is used to make decisions for the implementation for the next meeting. The instrument used in this study consisted of test results, observations, and interviews with colleagues. For analyzing the data, is done descriptively by using percentages techniques.\ud The Results showed that Reading Comprehension Using Communicative Approach Through Game to learn Reading of English students in grade VII SMP Islam Izzul Hassan Mekarsari can be increased. It can be seen from the average value at the end of Cycle III is Students' mastery of Reading Comprehension can also be increased by increasing their activity
