Photography and action-research : a methodological proposal to the study of the female aging in Castelo Branco neighborhood

Utilizando-se da metodologia da pesquisa-ação e da multiplicidade de possibilidades que a oficina de fotografia e a própria imagem propiciam, esta dissertação se propõe a estudar o envelhecimento de um grupo de mulheres, cuja maioria reside na Vila Castelo Branco desde a sua inauguração. Percorremos com elas estas lembranças e vivências no que tange a construção social da velhice, através dos dados qualitativos que a História Oral permite coletar.Using the Action-Research methodology and the multiciplicity of possibilities that the photograph workshop and the image itself dispose,this essay aims at studying the process of aging in a group of women whose biggest part live in Castelo Branco neighborhood since its foundation.We are going to use their living experience and memories regarding the social construction of aging and old age via qualitative data which the Oral History enables us to collect
