Este trabalho insere-se no ramo da modelagem de sistemas termodinâmicos complexos, e diz respeito fundamentalmente ao processo de extração de metais (em forma iônica) por solventes, auxiliando a busca de soluções para a otimização do processo. O modelo inicialmente proposto para o comportamento do equilíbrio líquido-líquido do processo de extração de íons metálicos (foram estudados os íons: Co2+, Ni2+, Mg2+ e Mn2+) mostrou um bom ajuste aos dados experimentais.
