ESPORTE E SOCIEDADE

We presented, in this text, the group of studies “Sport and Society”, belonging to the course of degree in Physical Education of the IBES. Tends the sport in your different social manifestations as central axis of the discussion accomplished in the academic ambit of this group of studies, we discussed, starting from a cultural perspective, the plurality of the sporting manifestations, thinking critically those emphases on the sport had as principal. Besides these we tried to discuss, also, the manners for the which the sport in the actualy is conceived as a social tool, that is to assist to different social demands. Starting from these theoretical discussions originating from of our group of studies we elaborated an extension project to the community blumenauense, which possesses as central objectives to develop for now the aspects lifted up in our academic discussions. Key-words: Sport, culture, society.Apresentamos, neste texto, o grupo de estudos “Esporte e Sociedade”, pertencente ao curso de Licenciatura em Educação Física do Instituto Blumenauense de Ensino Superior - IBES. Tendo o esporte em suas diferentes manifestações sociais como eixo central das problematizações realizadas no âmbito acadêmico deste grupo de estudos, discutimos, a partir de uma perspectiva cultural, a pluralidade das manifestações esportivas, tematizando criticamente aquelas ênfases sobre o esporte tidas como hegemônicas. Além destas problematizações procuramos discutir, também, os modos pelos quais o esporte na contemporaneidade é concebido como uma ferramenta social, que serve para atender a diferentes demandas sociais. A partir destas discussões teóricas oriundas de nosso grupo de estudos elaboramos um projeto de extensão à comunidade blumenauense, o qual possui como objetivos centrais desenvolver detidamente os aspectos ora levantados em nossas discussões acadêmicas.
