Apresentamos uma proposta de reconstrução para o Proto-Tupí de um processo derivacional que teria formado nomes de objeto a partir de verbos transitivos, por meio de um prefixo **-mi-, cujo resultado teria sido combinado com um mediador de posse indireta **-e(p)-.
