Estimate of the total sulfataÃÃo in the atmosphere in different regions of the CearÃ

The present work is about the study of the values of concentration of total sulfation that had contributed to determine the category of corrosivity estimated of the atmosphere of the State of the CearÃ. The estimate of the Total Sulfation in the Atmosphere followed the general lines of Norm NBR 6921 â Total Sulfation in the Atmosphere - Determination of the tax by the Lead Dioxide Candle Method. The presented data of sulfation had been gotten through passive samplers installed in the stations of study of atmospheric corrosion COFECO, NUTEC, Camocim, Barra da Sucatinga, PecÃm, ItaiÃaba, MaracanaÃ, Limoeiro do Norte and QuixadÃ, where the collection of the pollutant was carried through monthly. From the sulfation data, added to the data of chlorides and time of humid surface, the atmosphere of these stations was classified partially how much its corrosivity according to Norm NBR 14643 (2001) - Classification of the Atmosphere Corrosivity. As a result COFECO station presented category of superior corrosivity the 5, highest corrosivity. The stations Camocim and Barra da Sucatinga, category of corrosivity 5, high corrosivity. While the stations Limoeiro do Norte, QuixadÃ, ItaiÃaba, PecÃm, Maracanaà and NUTEC, category of corrosivity 3, average corrosivityO presente trabalho trata do estudo dos valores de concentraÃÃo de sulfataÃÃo total que contribuÃram para determinar a categoria de corrosividade estimada da atmosfera do Estado do CearÃ. A estimativa da SulfataÃÃo Total na Atmosfera seguiu as diretrizes gerais da norma NBR 6921 â SulfataÃÃo na Atmosfera Pelo MÃtodo da Vela de DiÃxido de Chumbo Os dados de sulfataÃÃo apresentados foram obtidos atravÃs de amostradores passivos instalados nas estaÃÃes de estudo de corrosÃo atmosfÃrica COFECO, NUTEC, Camocim, Barra da Sucatinga, PecÃm, ItaiÃaba, MaracanaÃ, Limoeiro do Norte e QuixadÃ, onde a coleta do poluente foi realizada mensalmente. A partir dos dados de sulfataÃÃo, somados aos dados de cloretos e tempo de superfÃcie Ãmida, a atmosfera destas estaÃÃes foi classificada parcialmente quanto a sua corrosividade segundo a norma NBR 14643 (2001) â ClassificaÃÃo da Corrosividade de Atmosferas. E como resultado a estaÃÃo COFECO apresentou categoria de corrosividade superior a 5, altÃssima corrosividade. As estaÃÃes Camocim e Barra da Sucatinga, categoria de corrosividade 5, alta corrosividade.
