Apesar da fotodegradação de poluentes orgânicos em água catalisada por semicondutores ser um tema bastante estudado, há ainda grande esforço no desenvolvimento de novos materiais com fotoatividade na região espectral visível, buscando potencializar o uso da energia solar.
