This paper is a small part of a large study about the practice and sonority of many choral music styles. Through bibliographical investigation of works written by authors from the Renaissance, our goals in this article are: the description of the vocal sonority in the Renaissance; the presentations of the vocal types in the period; the analysis of some vocal techniques; the description of important aspects of the choral practice; and finally, the presentation of some technical and stylistic suggestions for the practice of Renaissance choral music.
