MARC, MARCXML e FRBR: relações encontradas na literatura

The paper presents the MARC format and its evolution throughout the years. It presents the XML language briefly, to subsidize the presentation of the ideas found in the  literature concerning MARCXML. Considering a  correspondence between the elements of the model FRBR - Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records and the format, this paper explores, by means of the revision of recent literature, the discussions found about the relations between the conceptual model and the MARC format.O artigo comenta o formato MARC e sua evolução ao longo dos anos. Apresenta brevemente a linguagem XML, com o intuito de subsidiar a apresentação das idéias encontradas na literatura acerca do MARCXML. Considerando a esperada correspondência entre os elementos do modelo FRBR - Requisitos Funcionais para Registros Bibliográficos e o formato, explora, por meio da revisão da literatura recente, as discussões encontradas sobre as relações entre o modelo conceitual e o formato de intercâmbio bibliográfico
