Trajetória da comunidade negra rural de Tijuaçu-BA: histórias ouvidas e contadas

This research discusses on the Tijuaçu’s rural Black community path, belonging to the municipal district of Senhor do Bonfim – BA, which was recognized as a quilombola territory in February of 2000, in synchrony with the Article 68 of the Federal Constitution of 1988. The recognition process of that community crawled through the 90’s of the 20th century, when the community started to receive visits of technicians of the Cultural Foundation Palmares and of several sections of the Black Movement of Bahia. The orality constituted our main source. Through the orality, we could understand several experiences lived by the residents of Tijuaçu. The memories about the occupation of the territory and the first residents are present in the speech of the oldest members of the quilombola community, allowing the mapping of the accumulated historical experiences. Those narratives speak about the path of the quilombola perimeter and lead us to the foundation of that territory, Mariinha Rodrigues, a black woman fled of the Bay area from Bahia, which starts to live in Fazenda Lizard's forests in the beginning of the 19th century, today district of Tijuaçu.A referida pesquisa discute sobre a trajetória da comunidade negra rural de Tijuaçu, pertencente ao município de Senhor do Bonfim – BA, que, em fevereiro de 2000, foi reconhecida como território quilombola, em sintonia com o Artigo 68, da Constituição Federal de 1988. O processo de reconhecimento dessa comunidade se arrastou pela década de 90, do século XX, quando a comunidade passou a receber visitas de técnicos da Fundação Cultural Palmares e dos vários setores do Movimento Negro da Bahia. A oralidade constituiu nossa fonte principal. Através dela pôde-se entender  as diversas experiências vivenciadas pelos moradores de Tijuaçu. As lembranças sobre a ocupação do território e sobre os primeiros moradores estão presentes na fala dos mais velhos integrantes da comunidade quilombola, permitindo o mapeamento das experiências históricas acumuladas. Essas narrativas falam da trajetória do perímetro quilombola e remete a fundação desse território, a Mariinha Rodrigues, uma negra fugida do Recôncavo Baiano, que no início do século XIX, passa a viver nas matas da Fazenda Lagarto, hoje distrito de Tijuaçu
