Stereotactic Radiosurgery has proven to be during the last years the therapy of choice in more and more patients with benign and malignant brain tumors. The potential advantages comparatively to surgery and conventional radiotherapy made this technique a very important tool in the therapeutic armamentarium of neurooncology. This series presents the experience of treating more than 100 intracranial lesions with linear accelerator-based radiosurgery at Hospital de Santa Maria in Lisbon with special emphasis on the indications and results.
