This bachelor's thesis Czech and German language in contact Germanisms in the Czech language, deals with Germanisms in the Czech language. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the terms Germanism, international word, loan word and foreign word. This thesis also deals with the history of Germanisms in Czech language. The practical part of the thesis incorporates the corpus of Germanisms that begin with the initial letter "P". The Germanisms are divided into groups according to their position in the Czech vocabulary. The groups which contain the German-Inspired words are in this thesis subsequently described
