Forest Kindergartens

Bachelor thesis "Forest kindergartens" is examining the theme of forest kindergartens in Czech republic. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the history and the origin of forest kindergartens here, in Czech republic, and in the world. In individual chaptres there will be described the philosophy of forest kindergarten, methods and aims of work with children, the personality of the teacher, the types of forest kindergartens, its pluses and minuses. The conclusion examines methods of the education and the progress of children who visit forest kindergarten. The practical part is concentrated on the description of the environment, activities and motivation of educators in forest kindergartens. This description is patterned on observation of concrete environment and the interviews with pedagogues from five visited forest kindergartens. The detailed description of results with its evaluation follow. In the discussion are asked some questions concerning of the current activity and the vision of the future. In the end, I evaluate the meeting of the goals and the way how the theme influenced me. The results of the thesis present to the public the current situation of this alternative of the preschool education
