Surnames in the town of Pacov

The subject of this Bachelor thesis is the onomastic analysis in the town of Pacov specifically, it is focused on the area of anthroponyms (surnames, names caused by houses and nicknames). The source material for analysing surnames was ac-quired from the municipality of the town of Pacov, names caused by houses and nicknames were obtained by explorative methods such as questionnaires and interviews. The analysis and classification of the material are based upon academ-ic literature from the field of onomastics. This paper aims to provide analysis of the most frequent surnames in the town and to map local names caused by hous-es and nicknames
