Importance of Psychomotor Activities for Preschool Children

This work inquires into the benefits of psychomotoric activities for preschool children's development. The theoretical part consists of the description of preschool development period and of the psychomotor theory as well as of its practical application in this development period. The practical part is based on the suggested set of suitable activities which support physical, psychological and social development. These activities were examined in practice by means of a mixed research. Two methods were used - questioning (the questionnaire and the interview) and structured observing - and by means of them the specifics of these activities were found out and their influence on children's development was assessed
