Profit agribusiness in dependent to the development prices - beef

The goal of my bachelor thesis is to evaluate the potential seasonal fluctuation of the purchase prices of beef and to assess if there is a possibility to use the fluctuation of the prices on the business basis. In the literature search there is described the development of the cattle, meat consumption and the rate of self-sufficiency in the basic animal commodities in the Czech Republic. In this part of the work is also included the definition of the "price", its function and factors with an influence on price. In the third chapter there are defined the time series and their analysis, then you can find here the description of the trend models with the constant seasonality. In this part are also presented the following terms and facts about simple regression and hypothesis about the existence of constant seasonality. The practical part of my thesis is concentrated on the analysis of seasonal fluctuations of chosen beef commodities of agricultural market between 2008 and 2013. I preferred the commodities in prices of farmers, industrial producers and of course the consumer prices. In conclusion I carried out the analysis of the seasonality with the chosen commodities, it means, slaughter bulls (class A) in agricultural prices and beef in consumer prices in the time period from 1992 to 1997. For the quoted commodities is done the trend analysis too
