Proces adaptace českých občanů na cizí kulturu

This bachelor thesis deal with the process of adaptation of Czech people to foreign culture, concretely Turkish culture. The thesis focuses on how Czech people perceive Turkish culture and how are they able to adjust to it. The theoretical part explains terms from cross-cultural psychology such as culture, nation, acculturation, adaptation, cultural shock etc. In this part of the thesis are also introduced dimensions of national culture by Geert Hofstede and a comparison of Czech and Turkish national culture based on Hofstede´s reaserch. The practical part is devoted to the interpretation of the results of interviews conducted with Czech people living in Turkey. The results of the interviews show how Czech people perceive Turkish culture and Turks, and how do adjust to this different cultural enviroment
