Sledování vztahu růstu teplokrevných hříbat a vybraných efektů vnějšího prostředí

This thesis focuses on monitoring the growth of warm-blooded foals depending on the external factors. As external factors, the following items were used: the composition of the diet, the breeding management. However, father's influence, which is considered an internal factor, was also taken into account. The monitoring included three studs. The measurement of the foals took place from 2013 to 2014, once a month. The measurement was done by means of special tools which included a horse-measuring cane and a tape measure. The measurement included the following: height at withers by means of the horse-measuring cane, height at withers by means of the tape measure, heart girth, cross-body length, shank girth. The aim of this work is to graphically illustrate and describe the growth curves of the foals from their birth to three years depending on the selected external and internal factors and evaluate the most suitable collective influence of those factors for healthy growth and development of the foals. According to the results there were significant differences in the growth of the selected foals and thus the most suitable breeding management and the composition of the diet was subsequently chosen
