Břehové a doprovodné dřevinné porosty Malého Dunaje

This thesis focuses on the issue of riverside and accompanying woody vegetation. It analyzes the function, structure, restoration and protection as well as its overall importance of the river ecosystem. A case study compares bank growth in selected parts of Little Danube river in Bratislava, Vrakuňa district. The work is divided into sections analyzing methodics of solution, the establishment and subsequent management of conservation, protection of the bank and accompanying vegetation and revitalization of the riverside. The proposed methodology further characterizes the riparian vegetation of the selected region and is connected with financial solution of their recovery. The data and observations were used to create a detailed draft with the actions leading to the revision of the recovery plan and protection of the bank vegetation using graphs, tables and maps
