This bachelor‘s thesis is focused on controlling lighting and shading in a smart house. Lighting control covers switching and dimming mechanisms. This thesis presents dimming options for different types of light sources. Following this is an overview of shading devices and system wiring, often called smart wiring. Specifically, the thesis focuses on the Foxtrot system from Teco a.s.. This work describes the sensors and actuators used for switching, dimming and shading control devices. New library of functional blocks for lighting and shading control for Foxtrot system was created, for they were not included in any standard library.
