This thesis is about design of the electronic ballast used for starting and dimming six 40 W fluorescent lamps. Controlling is provided by button and analog input. In the work it is used micro-controller which controls excitation circuit of transistors in the half-bridge driver IR2104. The electronic ballast is created for two fluorescent lamps with possibility to add other modules. Behavior of the ballast was simulated, and then it was measured on constructed devices
