Utilization of biomass for energetics

This bachelor’s thesis deals with processing and utilization of biomass energy in the power industry. There are described single types of processing of biomass. It is possible to find a comparison between countries in EU and other countries from all over the world as far as utilization of biomass is concerned. Another part of this thesis is the comparison of the main economics evaluations which are generally used for efficiency evaluation of planned projects involved in the power industry. Due to the rising prices of biomass and other kinds of fuel, there is a progress of prices of gas, biomass and coal for the last five years. The practical part is the evaluation of gas boiler exchanged for biomass boiler. The calculation is based on real data taken from invoice from heating season.
