Application of plasma arc in technical practice

ZAJÍC, Jiří: Application of plasma arc in technical practice The thesis is focused on the description of technologies using plasma, for its high temperatures, dynamic effects and ionization. The first part of the thesis is focused on the description of the process of ionization of gases and individual factors influencing the parameters of the resulting plasma arc. The following part is a description of the developed technologies that use gas ionization for their function, such as welding, cutting, thermal spraying and heat treatment. In a final phase of thesis is disposed practical experiment containing comparing welds made by plasma technology and welds made by TIG technology. These welds are compared in terms of hardness, heat input and the plasma welds in dilution of weld metal
