The aim of the thesis is to assess the influence of the exterior finish works on the total price of a house. The total price of the house consists of the interior price valuated by the cost method and the price of the exterior finishes which were valuated with the help of two methods: the cost method and the simplified method based on the Property Valuation Act. The valuation also covers several periods of time: a new building and 11-, 25-, 50-, 75- and 100-years-old buildings. The thesis focuses on the lifetime of individual parts of the exterior finishes—especially the time after which it is necessary to replace or reconstruct a part.
