The present bachelor´s thesis is focused on the influence of selected additives on viscosity and stability of fabric softeners. The literature research concerned the definitions of softener, rheology, viscosity and viscosity measurement by Ford´s viscosity cup. Furthermore, the thesis describes definitions and classification of detergents and surfactants, which are regulated by Regulation No 648/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council, nomenclature and classification of thickeners, classification of aditives, which infuence softener viscosity.
