Cars with All Wheel Drive

The aim of this retrieval thesis is a description of the modern concepts of all-wheel drive used in passenger cars. The initial part is devoted to the historical development of this drive and its advantages and disadvantages. The following section describes the basic components and their use in individual concepts. Further, this work focuses on detailed description of the various drive systems used by leading automobile manufacturers and it is ended with a re-flection on the possible direction of further development of the automotive industry
