The thesis deals with mechanical waves in elastic materiál, focusing on Lamb waves, which are useful in SHM. In the first part there is a description of Lamb Waves properties: wave velocity, specific modes and especially dispersion. After that, there are described simulations, which were performed using MSC Nastran/Patran/Dytran software
