The main object of this bachelor thesis is comparing characteristic properties of selected types of suspension affecting driving comfort of vehicles. The introduction briefly acquaints the history and purpose of the suspension. It describes the dynamics of vehicle suspension. It includes distribution, description of the construction and activity of the suspension elements, their use in conventional type of suspension and semi-active suspension system. Further classifies known suspension systems into categories and deeply analyses their properties. The result is a comparison focusing on driving comfort. The last chapter is dedicated to suspension developing trends in near future
