This bachelor´s thesis deals with the vibrations produced during turning. Several principles of these vibrations formation are. This includes regenerative principle and the principle of position feedback. Vibrations are caused by the mutual vibration of workpiece and the tool, with the result that occurs corrugated surface of the workpiece, during the first revolution of workpiece, which also regenerates the vibrations. Vibrations are the most affected by the width of the chip and the workpiece speed. Based on measurements and calculations is drawn stability lobe diagram. The diagram determines the maximum width of the chip, or the maximum speed, for which it is possible to cutting ithout any vibrations
