Coating methods for cutting tools

The bachelor thesis titled Coating methods for cutting tools describes techniques of deposition of hard abrasion resistant coatings by physical and chemical methods. The thesis contains the partition of the materials for cutting tools, description of producing cutting inserts made from sintered carbides, basic types of coating layers and comparison of coated sintered carbides in the assortment of selected manufacturers. There is also an outline of some trends in the area of coating methods at the end of the thesis
