Kinetic typography: Technique development, trends and use in marketing communications

This thesis is focused on kinetic typography, its development and the use in marketing communications. It also contains comparison of creating the text animation in Adobe After Effects, Apple Motion, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Power Point. The theoretical part provides the basics about kinetic typography technique, it history, trends and examples of use in the current marketing communication. In addition, it describes the structure and workflow in After Effects software, which is selected as an effective tool for creating kinetic typography. Practical part is centered on a comparison of Adobe After Effects, Apple Motion, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Power Point according to the criteria of efficiency making text animation in the selected software and also considering economic aspects. Based on the analysis, result presents which programs are the best suitable for work with kinetic typography. The thesis will provide an overview of current trends and types of kinetic typography and suggest the selection of program for its effective practical performance
