Processing of architectural elements as haptic aids for the visually impaired

Theoretical and practical work is concerned with an architectural detail of the Czech early Middle Ages architecture. The theoretical part introduces the history of Gothic art and describes stone carvings structures developing from the third quarter of the 13th century until its end on Czech territory. The work focuses in more detail on the history of the city České Budějovice and the main attention is paid to the description of the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The main part of a practical work is a creation of three consoles as haptic aids for the visually impaired. Created objects are shaped and polychromed reconstructions of real consoles of the north wall of the mentioned monastery.
