The determination of needed power of chainsaw, depending on the type of sawn timber

This bachelor thesis deals with a power measurement of chainsaw engines. Their performance is determined by the type and condition of the sawn timber, version of the chainsaw, the chainsaw's power and also with the worker's experience. The main purpose of this bachelor thesis was to make all the necessary measurements required to determine the value of needed cutting power in connection with all the determining factors. Amongst the main factors are power and displacement of the chainsaw's engine, the worker's experience, embodiment of the clutch, the chainsaw's age and also the type and condition of sawn timber, as well as the used chain and the condition of its sharpening. Furthermore, I describe in my work what are the options considering the timber harvesting and during which operations are chainsaws mostly used
