The relationship between independence of central banks and selected macroeconomic indicators for certain countries of the EU in 2004-2014

The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to test the hypothesis that there is relationship between central bank independence and inflation rates, while the unemployment rate and GDP growth shows no tendency in relation to the rate of central bank independence. The default element of this thesis is to analyze the independence of central banks of the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Sweden, Croatia, Romania, Hungary, Poland and Bulgaria using four indexes (index Loungani-Sheets, Grilli - Masciandaro - Tabellini index, Zozulák index Piplica index) and subsequent detection of the inflation rate, unemployment rate and GDP growth rate in these countries in the period of 2004 -2014
