The reconstruction efficiency of photons and neutral pions is measured using the relative yields of reconstructed B$^{+}$ → J/ψK*$^{+}$(→K$^{+}$π$^{0}$) and B$^{+}$ → J/ψK$^{+}$ decays. The efficiency is studied using the data set, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb$^{–1}$, collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at the centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV
