This research investigated the possibility of characterizing and distinguishing properties of dark matter at the LHC at a center of mass energy $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV to be compared with coming experimental data. Six of these models are of scalar dark matter and six are of fermion dark matter. This was done within the framework of contact interactions. Simulations were done in the CalcHEP package and the associated High Energy Physics Model DataBase (HEPMDB). Dark matter is invisible to our detectors, but other particles produced in association with it are not, leading to monojet or monophoton signatures.
