Associated production of light and heavy flavor jets with vector bosons at the LHC

The production of vector bosons, Z, W and $\gamma$, in association with light jets up to a high-jet multiplicity, and in association with heavy flavor, like b- or c-, jets is studied with the ATLAS and CMS detectors. The data samples correspond to the full data sets of proton-proton collisions recorded by ATLAS and CMS in 2011 at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV. The measured total and differential cross sections are compared to predictions of different models
