The increasing penetration of photovoltaics (PVs) exacerbates the risk of voltage violations in active distribution networks (ADNs). The centralized control limited by the computational and communicational burdens is difficult to meet the requirement of fast voltage and reactive power control. Local voltage control based on the real-time measurements has a fast response to the frequent PV fluctuations. In this paper, a local voltage control strategy of ADNs is proposed, in which the local Q-V control curve is defined as piecewise linear functions.
