Cancer is still a major health challenge in the UK. This paper describes an overview of an evolving clinical information system to follow the cancer patient pathway, in an attempt to contribute in providing the best quality of care for cancer patients in Wales. The project is carried out by the Department of Computer Science at Cardiff University in collaboration with Velindre NHS trust, the South East Wales cancer centre and the Cancer Services Information Framework.
