The ATLAS and CMS collaborations extensively searched for physics beyond the Standard model in about 10\,fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions recorded during the years 2011 and 2012 at center-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s} = 7$\,TeV and $\sqrt{s} = 8$\,TeV, respectively. We report on the search for new resonances which appear e.g. as a $Z'$ or $W'$ Boson in a Sequential Standard Model, for $W_R$ and a heavy Neutrino in a left-right symmetric extension of the Standard Model, and for di-quarks, colorons, excited quarks and other new strong resoncances in final states with jets.
