The article is devoted to emotionally-colored vocabulary in newspaper articles related to the topic of coronavirus infection. The article defines the goals and objectives of the research, describes the research method, provides examples and explanations and conclusions. The analysis of the emotive vocabulary of the articles is given on the example of two languages: English and Russian. The results of the study indicate the dependence of emotivity on the situation associated with an increase or decrease in the number of patients, on cultural-specific and mental-specific features.
