GFRP is a kind of carbon fiber composite reinforced material, which has attracted wide attention in the engineering field because of its light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance and so on.The solid plate and shell finite element model of full GFRP truss bridge is established by ABAQUS, and its mechanical characteristics are analyzed. The study shows that the stress of each element is less than the material strength, but the mid-span deflection of the truss bridge exceeds the allowable value of the specification, so three kinds of stainless steel plate layout schemes are considered, and the structural gravity, mid-span deflection change and element stress are compared and analyzed.
