Dielectric and calorimetric study on intramolecular effects in chloro-ethanes and chloro-ethylenes

Dielectric permittivity and excess enthalpy for binary mixtures of cyclohexane and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, trichlorethylene, tetrachloroethylene, 1,2-dichloroethane, 1,1,1-trichloroethane, 1,1,2-trichloroethane, or 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane, were measured, at 298.15 K. The experimental results clearly show that intramolecular effects exist, particularly those between chlorine atoms and π electrons and between chlorine atoms accumulated on the same carbon atom
