TOPR Turns 10! Celebrating 10 Years of Curating UCF\u27s Teaching Online Pedagogical Repository

Launched in 2010, the Teaching Online Pedagogical Repository (TOPR) was established by the University of Central Florida as a public resource of online and blended teaching strategies for professionals in higher education. TOPR currently includes over 150 entries about online pedagogical practices which are tagged with one of three categories: course content, interaction, and assessment. Each entry describes a pedagogical practice that includes useful artifacts and is aligned with findings from research or professional practice literature. Over 80 individuals, some with multiple submissions, have contributed to TOPR, hailing from various institutions in the United States and around the world, including Finland, Australia, and the University of the West Indies. In this presentation, members of the TOPR Editorial Board will share global insights derived from the last 10 years of TOPR entries. What technologies were “hot” ten years ago, and what is trending now? What are the most visited entries? Presenters will also speak to TOPR’s value in relation to the COVID-19 crisis, as many educators were forced to teach in remote and online learning environments for the first time. Finally, session attendees will learn about the process of submitting their own strategies to TOPR, along with an update on the new peer-review process for new submissions in Spring 2021. This session is intended for instructional designers, faculty developers, and teaching faculty who are interested in learning more about open educational resources related to online and blended teaching strategies. The goal of this session is to increase awareness of TOPR, to inspire participants to submit their own entries and, in this way, grow what is already an outstanding online teaching resource.
