La familia Sesarmidae incluye un grupo de cangrejos con amplia distribución ecológica, considerando que habitan el medio marino, dulceacuícola y terrestre. En Cuba, se encuentra representada por tres géneros (Aratus, Armases y Sesarma) y siete especies. En el presente trabajo se realiza una revisión del material de esta familia recolectado en la región oriental de Cuba. Se corrige la presencia de Armases angustipes, cuyo registro de Santiago de Cuba corresponde con A. ricordi, así como de Sesarma curacaoense, registrada en base a la incorrecta clasificación de juveniles de Grapsus grapsus.
